iTunes Error

I'm trying to back-up my iTunes purchases. When I try to do this in version 7.3, I get the mysterious \"Error 261\" where the burn failed for \"unknown reasons.\"
Hooray for cryptic Apple error messages?
Now, on Google, it says this has to do with iTunes following an odd CD standard, ISO 9660, that prevents playlists from containing characters like apostrophes and such. This error has existed since at least 2005 and is as yet unaccounted for in iTunes' programming.
Hooray for bizarre Apple programming zeal?
So, my question is, how exactly do I fix this? I want to back up just the purchases. The program seems hardcoded to look for the Purchased folder for that. Do I actually have to rename each track? Is there some location I can just navigate to in Windows to grab the tracks?
