Was wondering how one keeps files from ballooning out to 13 gigs. o_0

I can't seem to find the compression settings.

Have you tried:

Video ---> Full Processing Mode
Video ---> Compression...

And, depending on what version you are using, mess with the audio settings, too. I think by default it converts into uncompressed avi & uncompressed audio, so your file would get really big really fast.

Depending on the resolution & length of your input file, you may want to run a scale filter, too.

After you get yourself all set up, hit file-->save processing settings.

From then on, when you load Vdub you can hit file-->Load processing settings, and you won't have to go through all of the setup again.

If you're talking about the final compression then this video might do it for you. Will only work on pc.

I know final cut has it. Not sure about the new Premiere Pro. I think you can set a low res 'remote file' for editing so when you export THAT's the video that's 5 gigs and compressed to hell.
For editing you never want compressed stuff, but you need it small.


Every single video inport/export card i've ever bought has basically 2uk3|). And im not talking about fire wire import. This video i made (which i found by searching \"descentbb\" on youtube. Not sure how it got there) But as you can see even after the interlacing is removed, there's still a second layer of interlacing that's there. That was a pinical video card, the best card i've had for that.
