As long as they aren't overused for trivial topics I love 'em.
A poll should be utilized for controversial topics where folks may be hesitant or unable to articulate their position but nonetheless hold a definite opinion. As in the E&C polls. Not about whom one wishes to fornicate with. Everyone knows most of the DBB mongrels would fornicate with a pile of warm dung if presented with the opportunity.

Polls can be really uesful if they're used right. Even the stupid polls I like reading sometimes. Or then again Roid's robot poll made me laugh pretty hard
