I can't believe that this game lives on...

I was just chatting with a friend of mine here at work, and we began talking about some old battles. Waaaaaay back, when I first started in this division (almost 9 years now) I introduced the game to most of the guys. My buddy (toxic) and myself are the only two pilots left. I tought all the guys (including my wife) how to fly...all the tactics I knew (big mistake) and we would play for hours on end.

We don't play at work anymore, mostly due to our \"computer use policy.\" That, and the fact I was involved in a dispute over the damn game that almost cost me my job...but that's juts another story, and mostly because the other person could dish it, but not take it...oh well.

So, anyway, I said to my buddy, \"hey, I wonder if we can get an old copy and play it online...we should see if koolbear still has his site going. He had a copy of d1x posted there long ago.\"

Man I miss that game...but wait...I can have it again!

In Descent 3, there are many levels outside of mines, such as B-Side Levels, Hyperspace CTF, and Stadium!

Heh, nice to see that yet another pilot is being drawn back to Descent! As long as we got newbies coming in and older players coming back this game will never die!

Quick! Krom! You're slackin!

Descent will never die. For the reasont hat it was and still is the most mind bending, gut wrenching game there ever was. It will be in the top X list for all time.

And if Core Decision comes out big, then it will be a good successor.

Yeah I'm lazy, but I usually only apply that image to threads when someone totally new comes. But I guess I really should make a \"Welcome back to the DescentBB\" version of it.

Welcome back, Proton. You'll find plenty of methods available to make playing D1, D2, and D3 a reality. This is definitely the place.

And we'll all be here until the universe unravels or Al Gore breaks teh internetz.
