I made this, but this is the greatest extent of Descent i can put into it. I put gif videos like this in my signatures to various forums i visit with a link to descent info under it in a futile attempt to advertise Descent.

Unfortunately Descent crashes every 30-60 seconds for me because vista hates games meant for windows 98, so all i can do is have me killing some turrets\\robots at the beginning of a level.

Has anyone tried making some of these for Descent, or am i the first? If not, could i use them?

What do you use to turn your videos into gifs? I am interested.

You can use Camtasia Studio to do that sort of stuff, plus much, much more.

i just used camtasia.

and, if descent 3 supposedly runs fine on vista, why does it crash within under 60-120 seconds within when a level is started on my computer? it runs perfectly smooth for a given amount of time and then just dies. i have a very good computer, it should be more than capable of running descent.

any hypothesis on what it might be; settings on vista that intercepts some part of descent as malware , invalid descent setup, possibly my computer is too fast?
