Mercenary Robots

If I extract the AIGame dll and str files from the mercenary hog file, and then put them into an mn3 file where the levels have robots from the mercenary campaign, will the robots do anything? When I tried it without that file, they just stood still, but I'm not sure that putting the dll and str files into the mn3 will work either.
(I'm going to test it when I get home from school, but it would be nice to know.)
