Stupid Keyboard Question

I'm trying to play FreeSpace 2 and the Dell keyboard that came with this three-year-old system doesn't seem to detect more than two simultaneous buttons of input. How I didn't notice this in Descent is unknown to me, but regardless, it's crippling in FreeSpace 2.

Does anyone know where this gets set? I remember, for some reason, this being some kind of BIOS limitation rather than a keyboard one. Would buying a new keyboard help?

Edit: So it's \"key rollover.\" Looks like I'm in the market for a better keyboard then. Any recommendations? :P

I have one of these as well. I've been using an ergonomic KB for years. My only complaint with this one is that the keys are a good bit further apart than my last one. It's taken some getting used to. The ENTER key is about half the size as well.

If you have large hands, then go for it. Otherwise, fine a different one. This one also uses a bunch of software. :P Just what I needed, another resource vampire.

You could go into your BIOS and max out your repeat rate for your keyboard.

I can't seem to find it in the BIOS. The Dell Dimension 8250 BIOS settings are quite limited.
