Manage IE favorites?

I'm looking for a FREE program to manage my IE favorites.

It's difficult to see what I have and what's in each folder.

Rather than using the \"expanding\" option on the Start/Favorites menu, I open Favorites as a folder but that's not getting it either.

Any ideas?

You want to edit/delete or move a lot of favorites at once? If so, the quickest and cheapest way is to open it as a folder. (Start ---> Run ---> \"Favorites\") What exactly is doing that lacking that you need something to manage them with?

Have you tried using different view modes, like view as list or details?

I've got about 45 folders and 40 or 50 files not in folders.

I would like to go thru each folder and delete, move to another folder and or create another folder and move to that folder.

It's been years since I've tried to organize and clean up my Favorites.

Also I assume some of the links are no longer good.

I have a program to check for good links if I could ever find it in my favorites.

The closet thing I've thought of is PowerDesk. That at least gives me some flexibility.

whats the command switch to root explorer in a certain folder, and in tree view?

outside of replacing explorer as a file manager, it can't get any better than that.

Run: explorer /e,/root,"C:\\Documents and Settings\\%username%\\Favorites"

No need to replace %username% with the actual name, Windows automatically replaces it with the current user.
