Definitely a bit too big. Though on another forum site I read, someone has a 700KB animated GIF avatar.

WTH is THis????
Is the DBB still lost in 1995? Most of us have Broadband. Hell, most of us Have SERVERS up. We are about the only Bulletin board that doesn't allow animated avatars. And image sigs.

Duper, there is a huge difference between a 14kB banner and a 240kB avatar. What's to stop say...AceCombat from slapping a 5MB GIF on his server and using that as his avatar? You still going to use the "nearly everyone has broadband so it doesn't matter" defense? That ship won't sail dude, and you damn well know it. The issue is NOT that his avatar is animated, but the FILESIZE.

Md. does size really matter now? not like anyone really pays attention to avatars other than pretentious babies.

Actually I personally don't care so much about the file sizes of animated avatars (except if they're in the megabyte class), just that they're animated is more annoying. Something moving or flashing or whatever on the edge of the page makes reading the text itself a bit less comfortable.

Image signatures are just annoying to me. Would you attach an image to every email you sent out? I can assure you that people would quickly get annoyed at you if you did that.

Actually Mojo, I'vd seen better. Not that this one isn't any good, But I've seen some pretty kickass avatars out there.
