What it says on the tin.

Any joystick configuring I do from the main menu isn't available in the game, I actually have to be in the level and then configure my joystick for the settings to take effect. I lose the settings again and have to redo them when going to the next level.

Any ideas? Running the newest DXX. (0.53)?

did you reuse an old pilot file from a previous version??

make a new pilot!

If you would like to help fixing this in further versions, you could try to send your old pilot (if you still have it) to MY_EMAIL and I will try to wipe this out.
