this line always gets me in
but i wonder if reporters have picked up on this - and try to add it into as many stories as possible as a form of sensationalism.

You know those monks that have some kindof meditation technique that allows them to sleep outdoors in the freezing cold unharmed? that's neat

He ran all the way up Mt. Everest and back with no food or drink, just a pair of shorts?!
Makes me want to give it a try (in full gear that is!) actually, I'd be scared of Crevasses...

I wonder if it's something anyone can actually control for themselves, or if it's an evolved process like breathing faster almost automatically when you're running, or being some kind of reflex.

oh, it seems this guy DOES use that meditation technique.
i wish they'd give more details about him - like what actually happens to his core temperature?
