Strobe Lighting

I'm making normal D2 levels in DLE-XP, as I can't get D2X-XL to work and DLE-XP is the only editor I can get to work. When I make strobing or flickering lights in DLE-XP, it shows them in the editor, but it doesn't do anything in the actual game. Is there something else I have to do besides set the light texture to strobe, or is this a bug in DLE-XP?

You can register in the D2X-XL forum (if you haven't done so already) and ask your questions there plus seek help for getting D2X-XL to run on your system, or post a support request in the D2X-XL project on Sourceforge.net (free registration required).
