awesome, I played a couple of games on there after you sent me that link.

Quick question - are there any systems in place to detect or prevent people from using D3 Hacks?

I was playing the other night, and seems like some players were moving around a little too fast, and after several direct hits with some big weapons, they didn't die.

I hate playing in games with hackers.

Depends on which server you were playing on. Remember that you also have to account for lag/latency (i.e. what you see isn't necessarily what the server sees).

Some (not all) servers have a system called Anti-Cheat. It has limitations because it's only working from server-side data, but it catches most of the obvious hacks, and some of the not-so-obvious.

Note that on client/server games, there are no hacks which can make players invulnerable, because all damage is calculated on the server. So if they didn't take any damage, it's because the shot didn't hit them on the server, probably because of lag/latency.

Yeah, I remember back in the early days of Kali/Descent, the only way to determine if your shots were actually landing was if you heard that \"ting\" sound.

just because you saw sparks dosn't mean you landed a hit.

In D3, I was pretty sure that it dosn't matter unless you see their shield orb light up. If you don't see the shield org, then you didn't land the hit.

Yeah, no one was playing as Invul. But some seemd to take alot of damage, others seemed to fly a little faster than they should, and others did both.

ive never been one to cry cheater, but it seemed a bit too obvious, and our ping times were sub 200. but, maybe it was just lag.
