Newegg has been sold out of this for a long time. Someone posted it in the other thread, it looks like a good card tho.

Does anyone know if this card is quiet or not? I don't really want a lot of noise, but the fan and cooling look quieter on this model.

Thanks! :D

This is the card that has twin heatsinks/fans on it. One on each side. Should be pretty quiet, but make sure that you have nothing in the way, like the northbridge heatsink etc.

I can barely hear my leadtek over the 7200 RPM hard drives in my system, it is very quiet. I dont know about their 5950 ultra though, it is a different design.

Yeah, looks like you have plenty of room, worst case you could move that PCI card down and reasign the IRQs in BIOS so it doesnt share.

looks like enough room.

You might have some trouble with those hard drive cables tho, and it looks like the memory might also be tight with as long of a card as a 5950 ultra is. Depending on where the headers are on your motherboard you may want to move your hard drives up or down to get them out of the way of the video card. My 5900 ultra is a monster and gets quite close to the hard drive cables, but if you run them right its not a problem (that and about 30 zip ties make it all work).

Jeff can you post a shot from the top of the card with the AGP slot and memory slots in the same shot? I want to see how long that heatsink is on top. And maybe an underside pic as well?

Is it a pretty quiet card?

your NBHS is a low profile fan it shouldnt give you any problems. your ram sticks however and those IDE cables are the real issue.
