Children are dogs...

...according to an imam in Amsterdam.
Children from the Amsterdam elementary school ‘de Horizon' (http://www.horizondalton.nl/) are educated the multicultural way. To educate them in the equality and respect for all religions they went on a field trip to the El Mouchidine mosque in Amsterdam. During the visit to the mosque, the imam told the children that they, unbelievers, were all dogs. The 10-year-old kids and their teachers were shocked.

The school later sent a letter to the parents explaining how they ‘regretted’ the incident:

“We are shocked that during the visit to the mosque, the chairman told the children and their accompanying parents that unbelievers are dogs. This statement is unacceptable, because we teach our children in this project respect for the freedom of religion.”

The school now says they have talked it through with the Mosque and that’s it. Their spokesperson says they don’t want to talk about the incident to the press: “we have gone to this mosque many times and never had any problems before”. Implying they will continue to send their children to the mosque.

Some people never learn. One can only wonder what has to become of these children that are learned to respect this kind of unrespectful hostility and intolerance that's directed towards them.

I'm pointing out that islam does not regard you as innocent- not even children that have done no wrong in any real sense.

You expected a teenager to respond any other way?

The words I typed were just random spam not directed at anyone, but the picture was directed at Thunderbunny for his posts on Islam.

Dak, as Foil said, that was uncalled for. It was also in violation of board rules. If you can't treat people with respect (regardless of whether they deserve it), don't post on this board.

Okay, I apologize, I didn't realize it was in violation of board rules.

I was going to edit/remove the violating post, but I see that was done already :)

It's generally in violation of board rules to attack, insult, and ridicule other posters, even if you phrase your attacks in such a way that you maintain plausible deniability.
I was going to edit/remove the violating post, but I see that was done already :)
If you suspect your post needs edited or removed... don't post it in the first place.

I didn't expect it in the first place, I meant after your post, when you said it violated board rules, I was then going to remove it, but then saw it was already removed :P

Either way I get it now; I meant it as humor but did not realize until after posting it that the post was insulting. I am sorry for that and for breaking board rules. I meant it as humorous, but did not know it would be classified as an attack, nor did it occur to me at the time of posting.

Lothar, I will take your advice, I think this is my first offence but to stop further offences from occuring :)
