This was a kid's show back in the early and mid 70's. It started on the heels of Sesame Street . oh, yeah. here in the States. :)

And you should. Both "The Electric Company" and "Sesame Street" was/are produced by the "Children's Television Workshop" (Now "Sesame Workshop"). PBS broadcast 780 episodes over 6 years (1971 to 1977) before "The Electric Company" ceased production.

I....

Yeah....

Different time period, different trends and ideas of what was \"cool\". Even things from my childhood in the 80s/90s are seeming more and more dated but for whatever reason that stuff seems SO lame :P

To be fair however, if I had to choose between raising my children on TEC and/or Sesame Street and that monster from the late 90s, Barney.....TEC/Sesame wins hands down.

I loved that show as a kid. I had forgotten that Freeman was in it.

I was born in '78, but I remember seeing it on public TV. The Frankenstein's monster scared me a bit...
