Can't play music CD.
Three or four years ago I burned two CDs with music from my computer. Now, none of my computers recognize either of the CDs using Windows media player.
I'd like to be able to pull the music from them, because I no longer have it anywhere.
Any suggestions?

Use windows explorer to just copy the files over to your HD.

I suppose you're talking about a proper audio CD (CDDA)?
Using Windows Explorer to copy the files won't work. Those .cda files are just links. No data.
Try a ripping program like CDex.

You sure that's not a blank CD?

Can you play the CD in a real CD player? If so, write the songs down and redownload them.

No can't see anything on the CD. I tried it in my CD player and won't play either.
I do have the song names but I was using BearShare. What seems to be a hundred years ago, when sharing was \"legal\" I think.
This was my wife's CD, so I was just trying to get a few points. I'll see if she wants go to iTunes, or one of those to download them again.
Thanks for your help.
