It's a good thing I don't live in Australia. I'd have to use a shotgun to kill that spider.

We have Orb Weaver spiders here in Michigan. They are not as big as the tropical variety but non-the-less are large. They are also quite beautiful spiders especially if you see one with the early morning sun highlighting it's gold and black body whilst it sits stretched out in it's dew sprinkled web.
