I want to be a Democrat
I want to become a Democrat, hell yea, I want to belong to the party that can be knee deep in causing the problems, and then just lay it on the doorstep of their opponents, and get away with it!
I want to always take the easy/popular side of every issue that comes down the pike, no matter how mundane or profound.
Welfare: Sure nobody should go without.
War: Bad! Bad! Bad!
Tax The Rich: Hell yea, there’s more of us than there are of them.
Abortion: Sure, because you should be able to do whatever you want with your own body.
Immigration: Why not, there’s plenty of space here, and besides that, we need them.
Drugs: See abortion.
Health Care: Everyone has a right to free health care.
Environment: The planet should be saved, of course.
Education: Spend more money because the teachers deserve it.
Death Penalty: Can’t kill someone because they might be innocent.
Gay Rights: Why not?
Guns: Bad! Bad! Bad!
You name it, I can’t think of a single position on any issue that the Democrats take, that requires a spine.
So here is a challenge…If someone in our vast listening audience can convince me of one single stinking little issue the Democrats take the difficult position on, I will vote for the great Barack Obama on Tuesday.

Ok, I'm sorry. I can't give it a shot because this is my first time and all I have are the issues that are important to me.
So, I go here... http://www.ontheissues.org/default.htm
Then I match up the voting records of each candidate to see who is more like me..
Of the presidential candidates that have a chance of getting elected, the most like me is Obama...The least like me is Palin.
Sorry Spidey

Welfare: I don't care if your having a hard time. It's my money.
War: Good! Good! Good!
Tax The Poor: Let them eat cake.
Immigration: My family imigrated, but screw your family.
Drugs: Prohibition was such a success....
Health Care: Decrease the surface population!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Environment: ★■◆● it, I'm only alive for 80-100 years.
Education: Pointless.
Death Penalty: Kill them!!!
Gay Rights: It doesn't involve me what so ever, but seriously its just so gross....
Guns: Killing ++
So here is a challenge…If someone in our vast listening audience can convince me of one single stinking little issue the Republicans take, that doesn't make them out to be complete ass holes, and I will vote for the great John McCain on Tuesday.

Welfare: I'm not doing badly, so why do I need it?
War: as long as I'm not involved in it, go nuts!
Tax the poor: Just gives me more motivation to get rich.
Immigration: It's my country now, GTFO!
Drugs: Screw off, you belong in jail.
Healthcare: I'm healthy so I don't need it
Environment: Watch me dump this oil on the lawn.
Education: what's that?
Death penalty: they all deserve to die.
Gay rights: No way, what will the neighbors think?
Guns: more the merrier!
Abortion: no way, icky poo

We are all for helping someone in need, just don't believe in making it a life long occupation. Clinton was the one to sign a new welfare restricted law into existance.Gooberman wrote:Welfare: I don't care if your having a hard time. It's my money.
No one has ever said war is good, just necessary at times. Or would you rather be speaking Japanese or German today?Gooberman wrote:War: Good! Good! Good!
Really? Show me a republican or conservative who has ever said that.Gooberman wrote:Tax The Poor: Let them eat cake.
We are very much in favor of "Legal" immigration. Are you?Gooberman wrote:Immigration: My family imigrated, but screw your family.
So crack and meth meets your approval?Gooberman wrote:Drugs: Prohibition was such a success....
I really suggest you go live in Bangladesh if you think that is the caseGooberman wrote:Health Care: Decrease the surface population!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perhaps with your ideas, we could start a Solient Green program.Gooberman wrote:Environment: **** it, I'm only alive for 80-100 years.
I suggest you get one.Gooberman wrote:Education: Pointless.
As opposed to freeing them and then the rehabilitated killer does a repeat?Gooberman wrote:Death Penalty: Kill them!!!
Yeah...it is gross.Gooberman wrote:Gay Rights: It doesn't involve me what so ever, but seriously its just so gross....

Welfare: There are already havens out there for people who need help (i.e. homeless shelters), and even that should be left up to the churches and not the government.
War: An unfortunate but necessary action. The most vital role of government is to provide a military to protect the nation.
Tax The Poor: They should pay the least from their income in taxes.
Immigration: Kicking those already here out is not an option. We must provide a means to earn citizenship that makes it a win-win for the immigrants and those who are already citizens.
Drugs: The government should stop spending its money on trying to limit drug use because it is a losing battle. Instead, moneys should be allocated to programs that produce a direct benefit to citizens such as education.
Health Care: Universal health care has failed in all its past instances, or it has major problems. Look at Canada. It's unfortunate that the world is not perfect, but giving free health care to those who cannot pay for it and taking money out of other peoples' pockets to do so is anything but fair.
Environment: We must think before we make an action that could negatively effect the environment for generations afterward. We must make alternative energy our #1 priority in government. In order to do that, many other economic issues must be addressed as well. However, the cost of hindering the progress of alternative energies is far greater than continuing the senseless consumption of non-renewable energy. We must immediately end all bans prohibiting free energy devices in the United States. Every form of renewable energy should be encouraged through incentives. The bottom line is we must make the switch to alternative energy as speedily as possible, and the government must take the initiative in this regard to make it happen asap. Private companies will jump on the bandwagon only once they see it profitable. Until then government must take strong, decisive action.
Education: The public education system is in shambles. We must stick with it, however, and put effort into making the system work better. The best way is to give teachers and students freedom by removing unnecessary requirements and regulations such as those imposed during the Bush administration. Give schools the freedom to succeed, and watch America's teachers and students become increasingly formidable!
Death Penalty: As harsh as it sounds, the penalty to some actions is death. From an economic standpoint, the death penalty would help thin out the overcrowded number of people in our prison system. We need to take human life seriously. To kill a person deserves death.
Gay Rights: Although I am strongly opposed to gay relationships, I recognize the fact that just as unmarried couples engage in premarital sex, we cannot prevent people from entering into sinful relationships of the same sex. While as a nation it would be to our long term demise to instate gay marriage laws, those who are going to do it anyway should still be protected like any married couple.
Guns: Government can't control everything, and it shouldn't try. What we should do is ensure that only those who are licensed may carry a gun. However, automatic guns have no place on American streets and should not be legally sold.

So does that mean you will be voting for McCain on Tuesday....Gooberman wrote:You could still make the case, but on that one I personally wouldn't.
38% - Bob Barr (Libertarian)
35% - Chuck Baldwin (Constitution)
28% - John McCain (Republican)
Everyone else is 5% or lower
Here is why it doesn't make sense for me to vote Obama:
He is going around saying the fundamentals of our economy are not sound. Last time I checked, the American economy was fundamentally capitalist. If he wants to \"change\" the fundamentals to make them \"more sound\" he would have to change the economy from fundamentally capitalist to fundamentally something else, socialism anyone?

I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on disk somewhere.

I convinced my Mom to vote for Bob Barr if I vote for him... it takes a vote away from McCain, so it's the same end result as if I had voted for Obama and my Mom had voted for McCain.Spidey wrote:Times up, Im voting for Bob Barr......
