I'm looking to get a photo printer for Mrs. Dedman for christmas. I don't know squat about them. We have a Canon powershot A540 camera. What features should I be looking for? Any suggestions?

Photo printers are convenient, but not very cost effective. They really get you with the ink refills, so the cost per photo is high. I just burn a CD with my photos and go down to my local store that has photo printing and get them in an hour.

However, if you really want one, I'm partial to HP products since they seem to have more photochemically stable inks, something you need to consider if you display a photo near any ambient outside light. :)
