Had to share this, to funny.
(20:12) STRESSTEST: Im actually innocent this time
(Hate to sound like a fan-boy here, ...but I'm going to anyway )
That, ladies and gentlemen, is the legendary Australian Comedian and Satirist John Clark in full flight ...arguably one of Australia's funniest men. (he's the bald bloke, not the younger not-quite-so-bald bloke who's playing the straight man.
I first discovered John Clark in \"The Gillies Report\" (a first-rate political satire series in the 1980's) where he first invented this particular part of his act, where he pretends to be some famous public figure / politician / businessman ...and gives absurd answers to relevant questions on a real subject in a mock interview.
He was also the star of a screamingly funny show called \"The Games\" where he played the head of the organising committee of the Sydney Olympics, who was constantly solving incredibly stupid problems (that were somehow totally believeable as well). The episode where he discovers the stadium's new 100-meter runing track is only 94 meters long is an absolute classic!! Track this series down if you can - it's a scream!!)
Their views on the economic crisis isn't too bad either:
John Clark used to work alongside Cartoonist Patrick Clark (no relation) - another very funy man.
My favourite Patrick Clark gag: (Taken from a ficticious speech given by Bill Clinton):
\"To the women of America, well, I know in my heart [...] that you concur with that fine American feminist [referring to Nina Burleigh, not named] who wrote: 'I’d give Bill Clinton a b**w j*b, just to thank him for keeping abortion legal.'
To these women I can only say: 'Abortion is still legal'.\" - \"Feel the carpet burn,\"
