Anyone else totally disgusted with the load of bs radiating from the press, regurgitating without question or substantiation, that the vast majority of the 700+ insurgents killed in last week's fighting were *children, women and elderly.* Pfft. Yea, right. Apprently the jihadis called their truce to get laid one last time before three battalions of US Marines completely exterminated their women. Does anyone doubt that if there was even a shred of truth to this lie that we wouldn't be seeing the shattered bodies of all these *chidlren, women and elderly* being beamed all over the world? Small wonder the US is setting up it's own news bureau in Iraq. The goons know they can't win the battle on the ground so they're trying to fabricate a win in the PR war. The crosshairs are on you.

Evidently what you're seeing in this picture is not five men struggling with a single body but with an entire kindergarden class, including their aged school marm and the class hamster.

I stopped paying attention. That is how I am combating the "evil press".

The headline I'm hoping to see is *Iraqi Children Using US Marines As Human Shields*. But I'm not holding my breath. ;)

Update: Interesting enough, two of the three major news outlets where I read the claims of *chidlren, women and elderly* casualties have now disappeared that paragraph. The CIA must have gotten to them.

bash, check the bylines of those stories. If they're AP/Reuters/whatever syndicate stories, when the syndicate issues an edited version of the story, the publications will change the story content as well.

As General Kimmet said during yesterdays news conference said when questioned about dead women and children,"If you don't like what you are seeing, turn the station. Al Jazeera is presenting plain out and out propaganda".
I will be interested in seeing the american military giving onsite stories and photographs to small news outlets that won't then have to relie on reuters and ap for story material on the Iraq war.
