The Detroit Lions ended their season with a perfect 0-16 season. Of course the owner, William Clay Ford, then fired the head coach. Only problem is the Lions have not won a championship since the 1950's. Perhaps the owner should really fire himself.
At the very least tho, we have the Red Wings and the Pistons to watch.

I'm a huge (and hugely disappointed, after yesterday's game
) Dallas Cowboys fan, but I'm not sure I should be any happier, even with a winning 9-7 record. After all, as Roy Williams said, they're just like the Lions, sitting outside the playoffs looking in.

The same Ford who is chairman of the auto-maker, by any chance? Because yeah, he really should fire himself.

Similar situation with the Bears, except the 9-7 record is painful since we've regressed since our Superbowl run. Nothing has changed except a QB who doesn't throw an int every other throw and an inept defensive coordinator Bob Babitch who managed to run our top defense to the bottom of the league. Whats worse, the front office doesn't care and he will probably remain on the job because he is buddy with Lovie Smith.
We'd love to have Marinelli as DC. Send him over our way will ya?

I hope the Vikings run all over the Eagles, and the Giants after that.
[Edit: Actually, I'm a big McNabb fan. He doesn't deserve the crap he's gotten this year. Even though I'm not rooting for the Eagles, I hope he does well.]

Heh, my wife is from Denver, so I'm kind of a Broncos fan, too. Yeah, yesterday was a double-whammy.

Lol, any time Dallas gets a slap down, it’s a good day in Philly, the sky is blue and the grass in green…
And when it’s the Eagles, and it puts them into the playoffs, and knocks Dallas out, well that’s just Nirvana!

Thats for sure.
I also was hugely disapointed in Big D yesterday. Not a good showing whatsoever.
The worst part of it was having to endure a call from my friend the Chargers fan. It was my time to eat some crow thats for sure. At least he wasn't an eagles fan!
anyway, GO CHARGERS ( the previous statement is made with hostility and only uttered as it was part of a bet.)
Also, rooting for the Vikes to stick it to the Eagles!

The Eagles didn't deserve to make it.
On the Red Wings: they are indeed a good team to have, in the hockey world.

No kidding? I grew up in Golden Hills, and Mrs. Dedman grew up in Spring Valley.

Wasn't that the game that the
wind was wrecking havoc with the goal posts and the kicker's aim?

Well, the Vikings didn't beat the Eagles, so now it's guaranteed that I have to suffer an NFC East team (Giants or Eagles) being in the NFC Championship... ugh.
