Clinton vs. Carter

Hmmm. It seems that Jimmy Carter sure doesn't like little Billy Clinton very much, does he? Carter outright snubbed Clinton at the Inauguration and during the Presidential Photo Op, he kept himself a step away from Clinton. Nothing's more fun than a family feud right out front and center, like the Hatfield's vs the McCoy's.

I wonder what the REAL reason for the bitterness is other than the published theories. Carter denies a snub during the hall pass by at the Inauguration, but you can just sense bad blood between the two of them with their body language.

Carter was a crappy President and Diplomat in the 70's and he's a crappy Ex-President and Diplomat today

They're BOTH crappy Ex-Presidents! I guess they must think that of each other.

I was 12 when clinton took office, but iirc, Clinton didn't allow Carter to speak at his convention, due to Carter's unpopularity.
That is pretty much stabbing the guy in the back and affirming that \"even our side thinks you sucked.\" If someone anounces to the world you suck at baseball, or checkors, you get over it. The president? Not so much.
But, my memory may be hazy on this one

Well, *I* wouldn't shake Bill Clinton's hand without wearing surgical gloves. There's no telling where it's been recently.

Whether they like each other or not ... IMHO Carter was a MUCH better President than Clinton and a MUCH better Ex-President than Clinton.
That does not mean I think either one has been \"great\" in either role, but I respect Carter much more than Clinton.

I think Gooberman is right about why they don't like each other and I'd be willing to suffer through another Clinton administration if it was the only way to avoid a Carter administration...Carter is, and always was, a fool.

At least Carter was honest to a fault even if he sucked at being President. Clinton was/is just plain evil, mercenary and self-centered.
Proof of this just showed up with the Caroline Kennedy fiasco. Rumors are circulating around that Bill Clinton nuked Caroline's chances at Hillary's Senator slot because of Ted and Caroline Kennedy's support of Obama during the primary.

I think the sooner the Clintons disappear into the dust bin of political life, the better off we will all be. I'm afraid they will be grooming daughter Chelsea for the political arena, if so, then we will be seeing them for a long time.
