..not recommended.

I do have the n52te, I'd urge anyone considering it to stay away. ZERO support, buggy firmware & drivers (see for yourself). Belkin/Razer is probably the worst joint venture imaginable.

I've known belkin stuff was crap for years, doesn't take being an insider to know that.

I have two belkin network battery backups for my PC, the original batteries only lasted a couple years before they went completely dead but otherwise the units work just fine. My PC has over a 35 minute uptime without power on with the set of batteries I bought for them last year.

The built in battery monitor is a total piece of junk I'll give you that, instantly drops from 100% charge to 70% charge when they kick in, and the unit goes offline at ~25-28% battery remaining so all time estimates are full of it. APC backups provide much more linear and accurate battery measurements, but then again you get what you pay for and they cost twice as much.

If Belkin sucks, what are the good brands? I have a Linksys router, and its original firmware was garbage. Had a hell of a time trying to update it too. Now that it's updated, its not too bad.

Interesting. Explains why my older Belkin equipment (a wireless router, wireless PCI card, N52 controller) is all working flawlessly, and my newer Belkin item (N52te controller) doesn't seem like it's nearly the quality of the rest.
