My Computer Just Got PWNED!

Ok, so in the 14 years I have been using computers I have never had a virus. My friend got on my computer this evening to check her email and well I do believe I've made up for the past 14 years in one single night. This probably qualifies to go in the favorite PWNED pictures thread also.

No, 81,000 infected files. Subtle difference. I'm sorry, Kumba. Unfortunately, I do not confer upon you the "Pwned" crown. For, you see, those 81,000 files were 'fixed'. If they were 'unfixable', you would indeed be Pwned to the nth degree.

My thoughts exactly Jagger.
If the "fixed" number was 0 - then you might be owned.
As it is - it makes you just look silly.

I did a scan this morning before I left the house and It had found some more so I left it running, hopefully I can get this all taken care of by tonight =\

Maybe it was the virus that was Pwnd?

NAV found
more infected files overnight? Dude you probably have a worm!
Virus-free for 14 years, how'd you miss a situation that's infected over 81K files?! I mean a virus case like that would've probably shown some symptoms a long time ago...

It was a worm that populated itself repeatedly on the drive and duplicated itself into every folder and sub folder. Anyway, I wasn't on the computer when It happened, but I've gotten rid of the worm and it's all fine and dandy now

Holy snot.
I'd suggest you smack the ★■◆● outta your friend and ask that they never check email on your comp again.

autoprotect eats up resources
and i didn't have a virus; its just that it turns out my brother was visiting some sketchy sites; ran ad-aware, found about 300 sketchy items.

Autoprotect is for idiots, but unforunately it is not idiot proof. Its better to not let the idiots use computers.
