In Barack Obama’s July 2, 2008 speech calling America to national service, Obama proposed “a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as our military.

The Democrats' renewed push for the ill-named \"Fairness Doctrine\" is another harbinger of enhanced government control, far beyond what the Constitution authorized. And this directive appears to be of the same genre.
All roads leading to Rome?

To add to the mix of the new liberal reality, the Dems also were talking about removing the two term limitation on the presidency so Glorious Leader can remain in power indefinitely. Of course with a new Zogby poll coming out showing Alfred E.'s approval rating dipping below 50%, a clamp down via the Fairness Doctrine on opposition voices will be needed as well as a private loyal army to squash any and all demonstrations.

Here's the thing though. I think it's a mistake to try and blame it on one party or another. It misses the point. I myself believe they are all in it together. The things Obamas able to do now would not be possible without the things Bush did before him and so on. In public these people seem to be at odds with each other, but then they belong to the same groups that have the same ideals. Bush Sr.was the one who made the phrase \"New World Order\" mainstream.
As far back as the 30's you can see a common thread all reaching towards this same goal. The one President who made a public attack on the Federal Reserve was John F. Kennedy. He was assassinated. Before that happened he signed an Executive Order that effectively would have destroyed the Federal Reserve buy issuing an order for the Government to start printing silver certificates that were actually backed by something tangible and issuing them at no interest. This would have effectively got rid of our debt. No, trying to blame one group over another falls right into a trap.
No man did more to expose the power of the FED than Louis T. McFadden, who was the Chairman of the House Banking Committee back in the 1930s. In describing the FED, he remarked in the Congressional Record, House pages 1295 and 1296 on June 10, 1932:
\"Mr. Chairman, we have in this country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal reserve banks. The Federal Reserve Board, a Government Board, has cheated the Government of the United States and the people of the United States out of enough money to pay the national debt. The depredations and the iniquities of the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal reserve banks acting together have cost this country enough money to pay the national debt several times over. This evil institution has impoverished and ruined the people of the United States; has bankrupted itself, and has practically bankrupted our Government. It has done this through the maladministration of that law by which the Federal Reserve Board, and through the corrupt practices of the moneyed vultures who control it\".
Some people think the Federal Reserve Banks are United States Government institutions. They are not Government institutions, departments, or agencies. They are private credit monopolies which prey upon the people of the United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers. Those 12 private credit monopolies were deceitfully placed upon this country by bankers who came here from Europe and who repaid us for our hospitality by undermining our American institutions.

I see one potential for this new department after reading the directives.
The administration can go into the 'Haliburton' business and appoint political friends to run the operations and man the labor with these new 'civilian army' workers instead of contracting it out to the real world.
Sure would be nice to be one of the appointed friends who gets to run that outfit and filter all those millions upon millions of dollars through my classified budget...subcontracting out pieces of the project to companies of my choosing (read: my friends) without any oversight since it is already under government control.
Kind of like creating the Central Office of Official Cronies.

The reason I listed democrats is because the current military is highly right wing and I deduced that this civillians army would consist of pansy tree-hugging liberals.

Or it may be made up of the unemployed Godless people in this country, who think we are just highly evolved animals, who will do anything to feed their children and ensure their own survival.

Obama could always institute the draft after all these years. Oh, but the Dems are too pansy tree-hugging for that move, you young pups hope. But then there's Afganistan.....
