Models for My Mod: June14th

This thread will be a general depository for my models and other art I am designing for my mod, called Aki. I will update the initial post with my latest work, and everyone is free to comment (as is the planned goal).

Various attachments for the Scorcher Rifle: flashlight, silencer, marksman scope, optical scope. Also a side-by-side comparison of the carbine to the rifle.

April 5th, 2009
A WIP Model of the Dueler Pistol, produced by the Casjaure Republic, also featuring a silencer and flashlight. This model lacks detail on the upper part of the gun.

March 31st, 2009
The Lithium Frag Grenade, produced by the Nekoketsukei Nation, and fielded by the Nekoketsukei National Army (as well as militia supporters and opponents).

Also, the previous Scorcher Assault Carbine, produced by the Casjaure Republic and fielded primarily by the Casjaure Nova Corps, also featuring a bipod and drum magazine.

I updated the original post, and I'd like feedback on my WIP Pistol (and my nade as well). Please note that the upper part was quickly patched up for presentation - it lacks the Casjaure Republic logo as well as the minor details I plan to add. :)

pistol trigger guard needs to be rounded just like the rifle.

pistol grip needs bevel, grip also needs bevel for web of thumb guard area. clip needs tongue and slide for round feed

rifle barrel needs choke arrest chamber/barrel underneath with left hand grip, also lend to tripod attachment, barrel would bend prom heat in that case

I really don't know why... I can see a reason, yes, but like on this P22, the pistol grip is nearly squared.

I thought I beveled the grip... and as for "web of thumb guard area" I don't exactly know what that means...

Since I accidentally nuked the bipod, I am going to remake it with that in mind. Although in the extreme cold temperatures that are encountered in my mod wouldn't cause issue, there are also much warmer places. I will probably have support along the top of the barrel, as in the old version all the connection was on the sides and bottom of the barrel.

I had planned it for UT3, but I am not sure as of now. I still hope for a UE3 game, but I don't know yet. The problem for me is UT3 just isn't popular enough to produce such a project - this mod, although having many gametypes, features a 64 (possibly 128) player battles, so people would be nice...

It would be a FPS engine preferably...

This has been updated, and this post is simply to direct this thread to the top of the forum :P

Please comment on my new models/additions, I haven't been able to do a whole lot but production has kicked back up again.

The barrel for the Scorcher has been changed, and the gap between the mag and the guard has been eliminated.
