He needs to be shot. I'm really tired of all these people showing up making millions of dollars off the stupidity of the general public. It makes us as a society look bad and it just gets really annoying to see people making tons and tons of money off "common sense".

These housewives who seem to have nothing better to do then sit around and watch Dr.Phil or Oprah and the rest of your garden variety talk shows all day are just sad IMO. You see wives on there saying that they're having marital problems with their husbands because they don't have very good communication and for the life of them they can't figure out what the problem is. Then Dr.Phil tells them they need to open up and talk to eachother more frequently about things

He knows this, thats why he sits there with a huge dumb smile on his face the whole show and in public. Every time I see his face the first thing that comes to my mind is he's thinking "Man oh man are these people stupid".

Writing self help books on how to lose weight and he isn't exactly the perfect picture of health himself. I'm man enough to admit that I'm probably jealous because he is making so much money off of offering advice about things so blatantly obvious to anyone who isn't a complete moron. It's just that maybe I have a little something in me that tells me its wrong to continue to exploit those who aren't as bright as others.

I'll admit, I'll watch his show here and there when it's on because it's nice to see someone else out there with common sense and I think he's pretty funny. Especially when him and David Letterman ragged on each other. However, the main reason I watch is because my other choices are kiddie shows and soap operas. However, I agree with Tyrrany on the fact that he and Oprah are just getting money off from common sense that any moron knows. However, he tends to bring those points out into the open so that people on his show are forced to confront the facts. However, I would rather see his show not in existance and see people that are smart enough not to watch and just make the choices for themselves.

damn... when I read the thread title, I was hoping something very bad had happened to him... Like fell off a cliff or got ran over... something like that..

So I guess that will cover my answer to the question that you DID post, eh?

I frickin hate that idiot. seriously.. he sits there blatering on and on how people should live their lives when by the time they're talking to that fat oaf they should have learned what he's telling them. Even my mother watches that fatass. that in itself should tell you the caliber of the viewers.

might as well call him captain obvious. of course that wouldn't sell nearly as well as 'DOCTOR phil'

I seriously doubt he is a real doctor. If he was, would he even be on oprah? no, he'd have his own office, whatever that may be. he reminds me somewhat of Dr. Turkeyneck (dr. laura. God I hate that ★■◆●.)

It doesn't take a genius to figure out what kinda guys watch those kind of shows for 'advice', let alone the girls.

He at one point said to not take his show seriously.

People say he's a lot like Martha Stewart off-camera - a real icy character and hardly the "warm, fatherly" image he plays on television.

they make all the guests sign a waiver agreeing to the fact that his "advice" is not to be taken literally or something to that effect, where's that damn article?

It's *pop psychology*. Women eat that stuff up. There's a reason why he's on in the afternoon.

Not to be taken seriously, yet he tells people what to do...

Hypocrite? I think so.
