Does it bother you that Democrats will let Pelosi off ?

She accused the CIA of lying to her and now refuses to comment on the subject.
When she accused President Bush of doing the same thing the consensus among democrats was he should be impeached.
Now that a similar lie was allegedly told they seem to have lost their need for justice.
We all know it's because Pelosi is the one who lied so of course they don't want to push the issue and get her in trouble but that leaves us to accept the dirty process in the name of protecting a politician who lied to protect her own place at the table of power.

Should we let politicians lie to us and go so far as to falsely accuse people of felonious activity to keep from having to face responsibility for their lies?
Would you have the same answer if it was a republican who did it?
If you don't accept this act from your representatives what will you do about it?
Is it the same thing you would have done if it was a republican?
Do you trust the press/media if they don't tenaciously pursue the story?

Time after time I find myself amazed and disgusted at how willingly we throw away our principles to save some of the most despicable actors in our government.

If she gets away with this lie and the media doesn't go after her then expect no mercy from the government, no concern for justice unless it first serves their own personal interest.

The two parties in control of our representative republic have become the equivalent of two private corporations in constant hostile takeover mode with no press/media willing to take them on.

Think of your fellow citizens as a third world nation where two corporate giants are fighting for the right to use the population for slave labor and you sit there rooting for one or the other depending on which company's commercials you like best!!

Frikkin lemmings meet cliff....

The question should really be \"Does it surprise you the Democrats let Pelosi off?\"

No it doesnt. if the GOP was smart they would push for criminal proceedings against the CIA citing Pelosi's testamony, Either the Democrats will back it or they will need to throw Pelosi under the bus, and once all the evidence is brought forth while Pelosi is under oath, we charge her with Perjury to congress afterwards.

I don’t loose any sleep over what politicians do, unless it affects me.

Frankly, I'm not surprised. We all know (Republican and Democrats) that she is a dirty, manipulative, career politician who's only interest is to further her own goals.

Bothered? Disgusted? Oh yeah. Wish I could do something about it beyond what I'm able to with my vote.

I've hated Pelosi since forever. I hope she gets thrown under the bus.

It's not what she's done that has me pissed off. It's the lack of any sense that this is the act of an arrogant royal not a representative. She's caught red handed so she merely waves her hand and declares the issue over!?!?
If she's allowed to get away with it they all move closer to being the Royal Family that rules over us commoners. And the media confirms it's role as a member of the democrat party machine.

Today Pelosi told us to piss off about her lies about our CIA commiting a crime and Obama told us \"Upholding our values will shield us from terror\"...anyone see the gaping disconnect? Anyone wonder what will shield us from their arrogance?!?!

Is this the first time ever the CIA has been accused of lying?

I don't think the CIA has ever been accused of lying to congress in a security briefing where they are required by law to disclose their activity and if they don't it is against the law.
It's a serious charge that Pelosi made. She is claiming to be a first hand witness to a federal crime!

Imagine you were hired by a bank to sit and watch the tellers count their cash drawer at the end of the shift. A teller comes and tells you she has X amount of dollars in her drawer and she puts it away in the vault.
Now you come forward and lie to the police and say she didn't tell you that and by implication you accuse her of stealing the money.
Then we find out there were witnesses to her conversation with you claiming she had X amount in her drawer and they saw her put the money away.

So your response to the allegation that you lied to the police and falsely accused another employee of theft is that you have nothing more to say on the issue, you declare the matter closed and you tell the police to go away.
Do you expect the bank and the police to drop the case at this point? Only if you think you are above the law do you think that!

We accept this behavior why?
