Your President also said he will not be goaded into a conflict, or involve himself with people who warp his words from both sides. That is a smart response.

If he thinks coming out against tyranny is too much of a conflict to handle then he doesn't have the characteristics needed to be a good American leader! It isn't a case of send them flowers or send in the troops! Between the two lies a vast playing field in international politics and he went AWOL for a week which sent a clear message that we weren't going to do anything!

Two words: Mohammed Mosaddeq

If you want to know why Obama is doing what he is doing, spend some quality Google time with that name. M.M. is a footnote in our history, every Iranian can tell you his story.

A good leader knows his history and doesn't flap his chickenhawk wings before he understands the situation.

Interacting with Iran would only make the people believe we have caused their political strife. Just because they are protesting against their government doesn't mean they like us. Leave them alone, let them fight their own government.

Most of the governments we hate today are our fault, such as the Iranian and Cuban governments.
