What's with the Bugatti Veyron's tail lights?

In pretty much every video of the Veyron you can see the tail lights blinking and flashing in a very cool way. I'm just wondering if that's intentional or something to do with LEDs and cameras... Either way it's pretty sweet

Almost any YouTube video... Specifically Top Gear's Veyron vs. McLaren F1

that's most likely the frequency of the LED's interference with the camera framerate.
LED's by nature are digital. So to adjust their brightness, you have to use a PWM circuit to control them.
A similar phenomenon is observed when a moving wheel appears still in videos.

that makes sense... Well that clears that up
Thanks
Although someone should write Bugatti and tell them to make the car do that intentionally. It looks way cool. Kind of like jet engine flames.
