Apparently there is a lot of “disinformation” regarding the health care system and the white house wants your help.

In Soviet Russia the government wants you to whisper in the KGB's ear about your neighbors doings.
Heh and some of you were worried about Bush eaves dropping on terrorist cell phone calls.

Can I flag the fact I had to cut off infected skin myself, because the clinic wouldn't take me and it would have cost thousands, I don't have, in an emergency room? Or should I be punished for making too much and too little?
I like woodchip's comment since I wish the white house would call the KGB on our health care system.

The Obama team is convinced there is disinformation going around about the health care bill because NO ONE IN THE WHITE HOUSE HAS EVEN READ THE DAMN THING!!!

So it's no wonder they think it sounds like bull$hit...it is bull$hit! But that doesn't mean it isn't the truth...Doggamnfuthermuckingbonsofsitches!!

Well Obama has said 6 or 7 things about the bill that all conflict with each other, but everything Obama says is fact. Therefore, anyone who says anything about health care is disagreeing with one of his statements, and as such they are spreading disinformation

I think that anyone who says anything about health care is agreeing with Obama and is therefore right :P

LOL. so where are all the \"civil libertarians\" on the Left anyways?
Bear in mind that Operation TIPS intended to get data about potential crimes and acts of terrorism. It differed not at all from a myriad of local hotline tip programs used by police around the country to solve or stop crimes. Given the nature of the 9/11 attacks — conducted by infiltrators who lived in the US for months in preparation for their mass murders — the establishment of the same system for a counterterrorist effort seemed like a no-brainer.

Obama, on the other hand, has set up a snitch line not for crimes or terrorism, but for simple political dissent. Where is Pat Leahy now? Shouldn’t he be demanding to know why Obama wants to put people under “undue scrutiny” merely for the horrible crime of disagreeing with the President? For that matter, where is the Village Voice and Nat Hentoff? So far, the Voice has shown little interest in this administration’s snooping by proxy.
(from shut down snitch central)

Count me in. My name says it all.

This is starting to remind me of the series Babylon 5, when Earth Gov was taken over in a Secret Coup during the Shadow Wars, and how the new Government formed the "Ministry of Truth" and the "Night Watch"
Wiki wrote:Once secure in office, Clark secretly but steadily put his loyal followers in positions to control EarthForce and EarthGov. He also began turning the Earth Alliance into a fascist, Orwellian military state, organizing groups such as "Nightwatch", a para-military police force, to spy on "disloyal" humans. He also renamed several Earthgov agencies, so that the Ministry of Defense became the "Ministry of Peace", and the Ministry of Information became the "Ministry of Truth".

How Ironic :shock:

Ironic? I'd say chillingly close to what Obama and company is doing.
Heh, Lothar or whoever manages this forum, keep a eye out to see if any govt. agency is checking up on this board. Lord only knows it is filled with questioning dissentors.

Hmmmm. I was just reading about the Bush administration wiretapping ordinary citizens. I wonder if any of that was true.

Clearly Bee you don't know anything. When Bush did it it was to keep us safe, when Obama does it, it is so that he can more efficiently set up his death panels letting all senior citizens know exactly how and when they are going to die.

If you had been following the genius that is Sarah Palin you would know this.

So this a good plan? Seems even the liberal ACLU doesn't like it:

"The Obama administration is proposing to scale back a long-standing ban on tracking how people use government Internet sites with "cookies" and other technologies, raising alarms among privacy groups."

"Some privacy groups say the proposal amounts to a "massive" and unexplained shift in government policy. In a statement Monday, American Civil Liberties Union spokesman Michael Macleod-Ball said the move could "allow the mass collection of personal information of every user of a federal government website."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 43_pf.html

I'll let you computer gearheads debate if the wiretaps or what is being proposed by Big Ears Obama is the greater evil.

If you look at it objectively, you might see some difference…

Wiretaps = Terror Suspects
Cookies = You & Me

Of course you can always subscribe to the belief, that Bush was listening to everyones conversations.

ah but Spidey, you forget that in the eyes of the democrats people who openly disagree with the Obama administration are now considered terrorists.

HERE is a link to the PDF of the bill. It's just over a meg in size and 1070 pages. Now go read. It's legal jargon so it's a tough read.

Is this really a big deal? You can already figure out just about anything people have done on the internet in criminal cases. Plus, going to a government site like dmv.com or whitehouse.gov what possible info can they gather that is to my detriment?

As long as its ONLY government sites, and thats it, I dont really care.

In general I believe government controlled spending is inefficient, so anything that increases the federal governments' budget I am almost always opposed to.

If you think we got scammed in the Iraq War as citizens (handouts to defense company) then you'll really see some whoppers once we have government health care, and you'll probably NEVER get rid of it, just like practically any new government organization that is created.

Bee-Bush tapped suspected terrorists-Obama is telling you to turn in your neighbor for disagreeing with his policies.

I think that's a little different.
