Story behind your avatar pt. 3(?)

In this thread (once again), tell us a story about your avatar, if you change it, explain it.
My current avatar is the miniature of the Marauder IIC that I painted in Clan Wolf Beta Galaxy color (top half tan, bottom half gray).

I have a 20x20 square. It's a symbol that represents my personalty, since I don't like to do fun things.
It was made in photoshop CS3. Due to the centering issues on the DBB I had to increase the surrounding pixels to center the 20x20 square. The surrounding pixels and the square image equal to four times the size (80x80pixels). In previous accounts this square was blue. But was changed to white when Lothar let me back into my old account. The 20x20 blue square is used on this forum, the troll dbb, and some art forums. At one point the square was 25x25 resolution but this was quickly changed because it looked terrible. This avatar was originally used on addictivehobby.com but didn't stay. It was used again for 3dsmaxforum.com where people made fun of me for it, but liked it anyway. My avatar is in some art including my old banner for digitalartsfront.com:
http://www.digitalartsfront.com/images/ ... /logo2.jpg
Color theory: I tried doing different colors to see if people would react differently to me. They did. During my time when I did on-line 3dsmax tutoring, people were more polite with certain colors. I tried brown, blue, yellow, white, and gray. Through study of the color red I believe it would cause unwanted attraction. note: techpro doesn't believe that color theory is a valid science.
Moving forward I have big plans to try a new color: teal. But I'm not ready to make that commitment yet. I think it could be very good.

The original skull is from the Venture Bros. It was the mood I was in when I restarted posting.
The newly added text is my way of embracing the fact that anybody who is against the president’s policies are Evil Mongers.

Mine is a screen shot of Ratchet from the
TV spot for Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, firing a weapon called the
Magma Combuster. I pulled it off a wiki that had it (and I later found out they captured it from the TV spot), and cropped and resized it to fit.

Mine represents my online gaming team, which has grown beyond my expectations. When I was 17, if you had told me it would still be in operation 14 years later, and in fact flourishing, I probably wouldn't have believed you.
Man that makes me feel old.

Please don't bash me now. Descent will always have a special place for me. I still play now and again. It's one of my favorite classics
Currently, Ratchet & Clank is my favorite game series, but right up there next to it is Descent, FreeSpace, and Half-Life 2.

Mine are the hand painted eyes of a Halco/RMB Scorpion Crazy Deep 140 - probably the world's deepest diving bibbed fishing lure of its size...
(An AMAZING bit of kit - I highly recommend it for pelagics.)
I took the shot straight from an advert I did for Halco Australia a few years ago.

Hmmm... I think I am going to change my avatar now that I think of it, it has been a really long time.
The first avatar I ever used here was a crappy klingon logo because I am a big Star Trek fan. After a while people started using anime avatars back when anime first caught on in the US, so I decided to pick a really goofy anime avatar because everyone else was using <random cool looking character>. I then worked through a couple goofy ones, and eventually broke down and used the cool character one.
The avatar that I am testing out today is from the ending to another anime that I found hilarious, its called \"Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei\" which translates to \"Farewell Mister(as in teacher) Despair\". I just kinda like the creepy bit to it, no telling how long I'll use it though. I might eventually revert back to one of my older avatars and/or cycle through them, who knows.
An avatar I used on another internet forum that I never liked enough to use anywhere else:
And also; since next to nobody has seen it because I don't post on PD much anymore, here is my avatar on the PlanetDescent forums:
.

Hmmm... My original Descent 3 Logo was inspired by Descent 1 and 2 on the Keycards:
Animated Version:
My current avatar is because I am a Christian and wanted to use it as a silent \"witness\", if you will.

And you'd think "talking hash" would be a mellow character.

If you look close, you can see Vauss impacts going down the side of the ship. (If you've played me, you'll already know what I think of Vauss)
I think I had an avatar before this one, but I don't really recall what it was. Been using this one for at least 8 years, and will not change it.

I made mine back in college, when I was studying abstract algebra. I was a big fan of group theory at the time, and the group of rotational symmetries of the cube--while not particularly a favorite--is iconic. I created the graphic in POVRAY.
If I recall correctly (and I may not -- it's been a long time!), the three motions shown are the generators of the group. That means that by combining them, you can get to any rotation of the cube.
I still find it kind of fascinating to watch.
