I've got the 8830. But i only use it as an mp3 player/organizer. I'm a skype user but I'd like to know when someone is calling me with something urgent.

Some secure facilities allow pagers, but not cell phones b/c pagers can't record.

Pager eh?
New version of the Pager for me is E-mail. I'll get the messages when I am ready and not a dern moment before then.
5 personal e-mail accounts. Mostly used to signup for short term games online.
I have a pager but the service has long been discontinued. As far as I know it still works but it hasn't had a battery in it in a long long time.

This is my \"new\" pager. I carry this thing all over, I love it. My calendar, Gmail, Exchange email, and the web everywhere.

I toyed with one at a sprint store. It seemed to be pretty responsive with the touch screen and the UI looked creative, but I wasn't sure if I would like a long term relationship with it.
