Welcome to Google Image Labeler, a feature of Google Search that allows you to label images and help improve the quality of Google's image search results.

They're trying to make a game out of this and it's fun for a little bit. But it still feels like unpaid work. And there's no way to not get bad photos. I got a dead woman with a gunshot to her forehead in one session.
You'll be randomly paired with a partner who's online and using the feature. Over a two-minute period, you and your partner will:

* View the same set of images.
* Provide as many labels as possible to describe each image you see.
* Receive points when your label matches your partner's label. The number of points will depend on how specific your label is.
* See more images until time runs out.

After time expires, you can explore the images you've seen and the websites where those images were found. And we'll show you the points you've earned throughout the session.

Tried it once, bored already.

Judging by the high scores though, a lot of people will probably go all out just for bragging rights.

I can just see the Google CEO cackling.

I'm going to open a similar gym- I'll have random menial yet time and effort-intensive tasks for people to do... they pay me for a gym membership, and I assign them to different tasks according to the type of workout that they're looking for that day.

Just think... I'd have people paying me to work for me.
