o I am a huge user of VM software, I started using it about 7 years ago using VMware workstation in high school, and was hooked on the ability to toy with OS's, creating virtual networks, toying with server OS's and Linux.

Well recently I saw that VMware released a new version of VMware workstation and VMware fusion that supported Directx 9.0c, well I tried it out the other night and I allocted a VM of XP with with 2 GB of ram, installed UT2K4 on it, and the game played flawlessly, which I was rather impressed with, then later that day I saw that VMware updated there version of VMware player to be able to create VM's, (before you could only use already created VM's) well I downloaded it and gave it a shot, and that program for me ran alot smoother then VMware workstation, and best part of all VMware Player is completely free, and ive tried games in VMware player, Virtual Box, and Virtual PC, and VMware player seems to be the best program to do that with. So those of you who are looking for a way to play some older games that require Directx, I would recommend using that.
