My favorite Eastwood movies were the Dirty Harry Series and the WWII themed 'Where Eagles Dare', all of which I own on DVD anyway.

What a great book by Alistair MacLean! (was the basis for the movie)

That was one of my favorite WWII movies and Clint was at his best being a coldly calculating US Army Ranger killing Nazis. Richard Burton was superb as well. It was full of great action sequences and I had no end of confusion with all the double-crossing and double agent backstabbing. Alistair MacLean wrote a lot of very good war, spy and suspense novels, but 'Where Eagles Dare' was the first time he wrote the screenplay AND novel at the same time.

Nope and you should see the whole movie if you like Eastwood. He does a good Bronson, cold and calculating.
