Adobe just released a critical update for
all Acrobat products (details
here). If you use one of these programs make sure it gets updated ASAP.

If you use linux \"Document Viewer 2.28.1\" it should be fine right? Since it's not an adobe product?

Thanks Grendel. It's about a 40 meg download and will update Adobe Reader to 9.3.
Isaac, it's a different product and operating system. However, it wouldn't hurt to check if the Linux Document Viewer has it's own update since hackers are always trying to gain access through these third party readers.

Hey Gren,
I know one of the driving reasons behind this critical Adobe update is a flaw with it through IE ... Do you know if the same flaw is present through FireFox? (I don't think it is)

Since Adobe advises that the problem is present under Windows, Macs, and Unix I'd guess that the browser doesn't have a say. How the PDF gets into Acrobat (manually or handed off by a plugin) doesn't matter.

Across the board, ay? Must be a much bigger \"hole\" than any of the tech blogs/reports have been saying. Terrific.
