I read a similar thing on the weekend on Ve3d.ign.com. Would be great to have a new Descent. But not keeping my hopes up.

Good video games never die. Take the original Super Mario Bros for example- released in 1985, and Nintendo is still selling it via Wii shop channel 25 years later.

Similarly, as long as it has fans and Dosbox, I doubt the Descent series will ever die either.

Reading through the forum posting on Duck-n-Cover where all this originated and the actual filing, there is some wild speculation going on. Once again, don't believe anything until it's announced by the company in question.

In short, this is all over the exchange of stock. No reason was given why stocks changed hands. In fact, it seems it's been going on for a while.
