It seems us humans are bastards everywhere...not much to say about it really!!!

I'm curious as to what these "filed teeth" actually looked like. Were they filed to a point? Front two teeth made short so there was a hole when they smiled? Inquiring minds want to know.

Every great city has it's skeletons in the closet, literally Not to make light of this, but it doesn't really surprise me at all. NYC isn't even one of the world's oldest modern cities, I wonder what kind of horribly despicable deeds, unknown at this time, led to the foundation of some European cities.

moot point, you can't undo the past, only "try" to prevent those things from happening in the future. I think we've come a LONG way since then (BIG understatement).

I was shocked by the article, 20,000 people is a horrendous amount of death. I was blaming the race not the country.

It's an election year FC. I guess we are gearing up for that us vs them mentality. Plus, I suspect that all the beating up in the world press the US has gotten over Iraq may have some people a bit on the defensive.

a lot of asian rim nations (ie: solomon islands) still do teeth filing. one of the guys they met in the movie Endless Summer 2 had filed teeth.
