coupla wierd things been happening around my house, I thought maybe I could have my webcam set up and just keep an eye on things in the backyard from the office...
but I have no clue on how to do that...
Currently running Win XP w/ internet over NAT via Linksys BEFSR41 and I have a logitech USB webcam thingy few years old, haven't used it too much.

Mobius had a post about something just like this not too long ago, had a webcam set up to go off if it detected any motion and email him a series of pictures. I think you can also get a live feed from your webcam.

Windows media 9 encoder has a built in webcam capture/broadcast thingie. And it's free and easy to use. Only problem is I think you have to use WMP9 to view the streams.

get a copy of pcanywhere, install client on your home pc. you should be able to connect to your home pc from your office.
pcanywhere is a wonderful tool for remote diagnostics, as well as remote control over your camera.
