It's weakening and therefore if you live along the coast, like I do, start putting some money aside.
This past Wednesday, Colorado State issued its next extended range forecast for the Atlantic hurricane season of 2010. It calls for an above average season with 15 named tropical storms.
...
The team predicts that out of the 15 named tropical storms, eight will become hurricanes with winds speeds reaching 74 mph, and four will mature into major hurricanes. A major hurricane is classified as a Category 3, 4, or 5.
Where I currently live got hit pretty bad last year. I'm not looking forward to 15 possible storms.

El Nino's weakening here in Oregon has really trashed our spring. We went from a cold and dry fall to a warm and dry winter to a cold and soaking wet April! Inches if rain in just a few weeks! Gaaaaah!
