Say what you will about Bush, but at least he had the good sense not to be out playing while his troops were a dying. So now we have Barak \"Playboy\" Obama:

\"Mr. Obama has played golf far more often than former President George W. Bush. In his eight years in office, Mr. Bush played just 24 times. His last time as president was Oct. 13, 2003.

He said in 2008 that he gave up golf \"in solidarity\" with the families of soldiers who were dying in Iraq.

\"I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf,\" Mr. Bush said in a White House interview Saturday with the Politico. \"I feel I owe it to the families to be as — to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.\"

He stopped playing after he received word of a deadly attack in Iraq while playing golf during a stay at the family ranch near Crawford, Texas.

\"They pulled me off the golf course, and I said it's just not worth it anymore to do,\" Mr. Bush said in the interview.

Since Mr. Obama took office, 397 soldiers have died in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Another 151 have died in Operation Iraqi Freedom.\"

I guess to Obama American deaths are less important than getting out and playing.

You are all wrong Woody, democrats need their \"me time\" because of the hard work they do and republicans don't deserve any me time because they built their whole lifestyle on the backs of the working man.

Seriously though, I wish Obama would do nothing but play golf from here on out!

It's starting to look like you guys are reaching for anything negative. My vote can sway in any direction, but this sort of thing is what makes conservatives look bad; the motive is pretty obvious. I kind of wish the entire conservative movement would realize that it's keeping most of Americans at arms reach of the fence.
No, I didn't care if Bush played Golf or how well he could dance.

LOL woody, if you were any more a tool for the republican party they would load you in a machine and use your forehead to strike commemorative coins with GWB's face on them. :P

I would have suggested they use Bee's forehead to strike the reverse, but that would be no different from leaving it blank... :P ;)

Maybe the GOP will take him as the next Joe The Plumber, would give this board a break for a while. :P

I didn't say anything about Obama. Just pointing out the general impression you've been giving with your postings.

It's well known that Bush lied to the press and kept on playing golf WELL after he said that he'd quit. HOWEVER, now don't freak out guys, that doesn't excuse another elitist President doing the same damn thing during a time of war and sacrifice, especially when he promised the American People that he would GET OUT out of said war.

He's out GOLFING!!! That Bastard! But in all seriousness, I don't find it very relevant. It's not as if sitting in his office shines a magical shield over all troops. His impact on the actual fight at any given moment is nil.

It's not, really.

But it is kind of fun to poke at the hypocrisy of the Michael Moores of the world, who screamed and shouted about Bush playing golf early in his term but said nothing positive when he gave it up, and who don't think it's a problem now that it's a Democrat playing golf.

I think it's fairly universally acknowledged by now that Michael Moore is a raging ***hole. :P
