Was asked the following question and since I'm not a Mac guy, need some feedback, please.
Apparently Dell is discontinuing their Mini 10v. It is a computer that you could 'hackin-tosh' and install the Mac OS. Brand new, they go for about $300. I saw a used one on eBay for $200. Problem is, it has an Ubuntu os. Most of them come with either xp or 7. Once the original os is uninstalled and Mac is installed it should operate the same, no? Will there be differences in the hardware that would cause problems with the Mac install?

So, it is illegal Isaac? You mean they can take you to court over installing it on your computer? I don't think that means what you think it means. If anything, it just means they will not support you if you call in with issues.
If anything, just let your cat click the "I agree" button.

Not sure what your question is. You talk about installing Mac OS and then go on to ask if the hardware in the mini 10 is different because ubuntu was installed on it. Software doesn't effect hardware. So not sure what you are getting at. Just format and install mac OS over whatever OS is already on there. Be it Win XP, Vista, Linux - doesn't matter because mac OS will erase the previous os when you install it.thewolfe wrote:Anyone have a comment on my original question?

I agree with the sentiment that EULA's are lame, and I generally avoid using software that forces me to agree to one, but I have a hard time justifying clicking "I agree to this license" while simultaneously not agreeing with the license.Xamindar wrote:Does it include the EULA on the box before you buy?
