Does anybody know of a way to play into cerberon without buying a copy of doom3?
I did a lot of work trying to get it to run with the demo version of doom3, but to no avail.
I mean IC is supposed to be free, but where's the free if you have to buy doom3?



P.S:
I don't really have a stable income at the moment, so I can't really buy anything.

I suppose IC will eventually become independent of doom3 after the
GPL release of ID Tech 4, but we don't know how long that will be.

It's a MOD for the Doom 3 engine hence why you must own Doom 3. The MOD is FREE.

It's either a doom3 mod, OR it's a game based on the doom3 engine(ID Tech 4).
Right now however, the only way to obtain the engine is with one of the ID Tech 4 based games(Q4, Doom3, Prey, etc).

But since the IC team says it's a doom3 mod, it probably is.
Although they will probably start using the engine directly after it becomes opensource, but that's just speculation.

I still wish I could get it to work with the demo version though...

Trust me It's a doom 3 mod. I've tried it and you need Doom 3 to play it.
