Unless I'm missing something, this doesn't really sound heavy-handed or inappropriate. They actually did a pretty good job avoiding any casualties (including to the pirates) since in an operation like that I'd expect them...

I think you are missing that they mean no one on their side was injured. It says one of the pirates was killed but that still may be a news mistake.

Xam, even still. only 1-3 deaths in a situation like that deserves one "attaboy". Now it they cut them all down then said, "oh, no pirates were harmed during the filming of this exercise".. that would be another thing. Not that I would feel terribly sorry for the pirates, but it doesn't do well to lie about something like that.

Well some "baying aussies" yeah - exactly.

I actually expected people to acknowledge the point i made about "that other racist America" and distance themselves from it.
Getting butthurt about it was something i only expected the baying americans (rednecks) in question to do. I wouldn't expect you guys to actually identify with "some baying Americans" and take it as a personal insult.
