It will be one of those gadgets that will be fun to simply sit and watch.
The only problem will be making sure the lasers don't end up pointing at things they shouldn't like airplanes or your eyes. Wonder how they will work around that detail...
And for the sissies who cry inhumane, there are much more \"entertaining\" ways to kill such pests, such as

simple answer: just turn up the power. The article said something about ~2J being enough to instantly boil all of the water in their bodies = instant death. The only reason they turned down the power was in the interest of power conservation (and safety).
