The British-based Reuters news agency has been stung for the second time by charges that it edited politically sensitive photos in a way that casts Israel in a bad light. But this time Reuters claims it wasn’t at fault.
The news agency reacted to questions raised by an American blogger who showed that Reuters' photo service edited out knives and blood traces from pictures taken aboard the activist ship Mavi Marmara during a clash with Israeli commandos last week. Nine people were killed and scores were injured in the clash.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Ferno you are obviously uninformed. The Israelis that boarded the ship were equipped with paintball rifles and side arms. It was only after the \"peace activists\" started chucking people overboard that the sidearms were unholstered.
It's never good to wake up in the shrubs naked, you either got way too drunk, or your azz is a werewolf.

I don't know what you consider a 'paintball rifle' adog, but what they had sure didn't have anything to do with paintball. At least one of the commandos had what looks like an M4.
According to the video footage I saw, IDF side included, no one was being tossed overboard. Eyewitness stories state that israel opened fire even before boarding the large ship.
Yeah I think there is a lot of confusion with christians concerning Israel. Since they've read that they \"were\" god's chosen people they seem to align themselves with Israel at all costs. The bible plainly states in many places that because they rejected the messiah they themselves were rejected and salvation came unto the gentiles. It even goes so far as to say that the majority in the last days will be rejected also, but for God's names sake a remnant will be saved. Israel in it's current state is not accepted by God and Christians seem to give them a pass no matter what they do, mainly because it seems most of them don't even know what they believe.
Now all that aside. Looking at this secularly and from my own point of view. Those people are hated. I just watched part of a documentary narrated by Kevin Costner on Hulu about the spread of antisemitism throughout Europe. Very interesting stuff and this is mostly first hand accounts by the muslims stating why they hate Jews and what their intentions towards them are. It won't be long and the whole crowd is gonna try and wipe Israel off the map. In the light of so much hate directed towards them, it makes sense that they have become paranoid and overly-aggressive.
Curious Ferno but vid I saw clearly showed a IDF trooper being thrown over the upper deck to the lower deck. Vid also clearly showed people using steel pipes to beat the troopers.
Now say what you will but Israel has every right to board ships trying to run the blockade into Gaza, just as we had the right to set up a Cuban blockade during the Cuban missile crisis. Or another way of looking at it, would you prefer we didn't stop ships say from NK or Iran suspected of bringing WMD's into America or Canada?
Ferno wrote:did you forget that this happened in international waters?
and did you seriously try to tie this into the cuban missile crisis?
International law allows for Israel to intercept in international waters a ship that is steaming towards their blockade. This is widely accepted when a nation has a blockade in place not just isolated to this country or this blockade. So that point is moot.
As to the Cuban missile crisis comparison. How many times did Cuba fire anything into America? Answer: None.
Now how many times has Hezbollah or Hamas or other Iranian proxy warriors fired rockets or mortars into Israel? too many to count and far more than you would put up with if they were being launched into your neighborhood. So get real.
