DVD-ROM not working

Post by thewolfe »

Toshiba A105-S4094 running XP.

DVD doesn't play. Had viruses that were removed by someone else.

What download should I be looking to re-install DVD function. Assuming I'm headed in the right direction.

You need to reinstall your DVD software. It should be on one of your restore disk or restore utility that Toshiba uses. None of those downloads will work. You must have a third party player for you DVDs to play in XP.

Is it that DVD videos won't play, or you can't read ANY DVD?
